Our BSL3 work at University of Virginia (UVA), includes research on West Nile Virus. Our BSL3 suite or laboratory is well equipped with required instruments and supplies to continue research on WNV. Our near future research will also focus on understanding Rickettsia Conorii interactions with arthropod/mammalian host. Work on Rickettsial species will include collaborations with Dr. Herve Agaisse at UVA.
